Lil Wayne has gotten a temporary reprieve from his jail sentence to have dental surgery.

According to MTVNews, Weezy’s sentencing in a New York City gun case was postponed today after his lawyer said the rapper needs to finish a string of recent surgeries for a dental problem before he goes to jail.

His sentencing is now set for March 2nd, and a judge says it won’t be put off any further. Weezy is set to have surgery on Friday in Miami.

UPDATE:
Before Weezy’s jail sentencing was delayed, he spent what he thought was his last day of freedom in the studio. The rapper spent nearly an hour saying farewell to his fans in a live streaming video.

In the clip, Wayne said, “To all my fans, my real fans I really, really truly love you. I love you with all of me for real.” For the entire broadcast, Wayne was very upbeat. He was his usual jovial self even when talking about his upcoming jail stint. Weezy was visited by Fat Joe, his manager Macho and received a phone call from Drake.

As the Ustream came to an end, Wayne walked outside to start getting ready to go home saying, “Thank you from the bottom of me. Do not forget about me ’cause I will forever think about you. I cannot wait for you to see me again.”
