Lil Wayne Heading To NY Jail

Lil Wayne is getting set to head to the slammer this February to serve time on his New York gun case, just days after his latest album, the rock inspired Rebirth, hits stores.

Weezy’s start date for jail was scheduled for February 9th at a Manhattan state court today (Dec. 15).

The rapper, who just had a child with his girlfriend Nivea, pleaded guilty in October to attempted criminal possession of a weapon – a charge which stemmed from a 2007 traffic stop of his tour bus. His plea deal calls for one year in jail.
