This just in, people lie…

There’s a study for everything these days, including our lying habits – and the newest dirt on our fibbing habits are in.

Men lie more than women, twice as much in fact. In a recent study of 2000 Britons, it was found that men lie on average about six times a day, women lie, on average three times.

So, what do we lie about?

Apparently nothing important. The most common lie for both ends of the gender spectrum was, “Nothing’s wrong, I’m fine”. Little-white-lies seemed to rule the most popular lie category – men tend to lie about how much they drank and about whether or not their girlfriend really does look fat in those pants. Women, on the other hand, have an affinity for lying about how much they spend shopping.

There you have it, we’re all a bunch of cliche lying bastards.
