Happy Couple?According to a study on happiness, cited in last weeks Time Magazine, tall people got it going on.

The National Bureau of Economic Research, found that not only do taller folk get better educational opportunities, and make more money than their shorter counterparts, but when asked to rate their happiness level… they report higher levels of happiness.

So are shorter than average folk doomed to a meager living and depression worthy woes?  I beg to differ.

Average height for a man is considered 5′10″ and for a woman, 5′4″.  Let’s just say I’m teetering on shorty-town, and I’ve never felt discriminated upon based on height, in fact, I’ve always considered it a boon to be a bit shorter than average. My wages and education seem to have survived shortdom unscathed.  I may have to get my pants hemmed, but I don’t have to buy them at a specialty shop, and as for dating (another happiness factor the study brought up), I consider being short broadens my scope of potential suitors.  At my height I still have to stand on my toes to mack it with a guy who’s 5′8″.  And well, that’s just good for everyone’s self esteem.

That’s my point of view, but how ’bout you?  Short or Tall, what’s your story? Let us know in the comments section below
